BOOKMARK

Bookmark is a tool that helps to identify or locate us to the position where we set our Bookmark in a document to reach the same position where we stop our work.

How to Apply :
Set your cursor position and go to insert menu select bookmark option and save your bookmark 

Next time if you wish to go to that position go to home menu in the right hand side ending of the ribbon you will see editing option or press Ctrl+G
Select GoTo option from the three(Find,Replace, GoTo) 
Drop down the list till you get the bookmark option.
Type your Bookmark name you have saved earlier. 

Then your cursor will be start blinking on that position where you have set your cursor earlier.

HYPERLINK

Hyperlink is a technique by which we can make a bunch of related files by applying link on any file to reach another file bye just hitting a click with a conjunction with a control key i.e. Ctrl.

HOW TO APPLY:
This option comes in insert menu 
  • Open any file and select the content , word, image, table, etc. to which you wanted to elaborate or explain better

  • Then go to Hyperlink it will show you the files to select then save your file/document 

You will see the content will change into Blue-Color with an underline.
When you move around the cursor on that portion you will see your pointer change into  Hand tool shape and a message showing to follow "Ctrl + Click"

then you will be on the document you have set earlier.

 All options comes in the menu of Insert


  • COVER PAGE: It gives a attractive starting to your document.By custom setting you can edit the cover page and it is automatically comes to the First Page. 
  • Page Break: It breaks your page into two parts according to cursor position content will be shifted to the another page.
  • Blank Page: It gives a blank page whee the cursor is blinking.
suppose you are making a file and forgot to add one page, set the position of the cursor and go to insert menu from left hand side you can select Blank Page, Now you can edit any thing in that page.

A small size of image provided by the ms-word(office package)
when you click on Clip Art option you will see a Dialog box appear on the right hand side showing various options.


How to set a Clip ART into your Doc?
Steps:

  • Start any application of Ms-office
  • then go to insert menu
  • select clip art option
  • you will see a search option in your right hand side area
  • type the english words like, computer,building,animal,nature,celebrations,etc
  • then hit on Go
  • you will see many result, click on any image you want to have on your screen(make sure you set the position of the cursor)

Cursor position is very important while you insert any clip art



In case your system is not providing the pictures you entered the name into search box then
select "Organize Clips" then click on office collection you will get lots of options to choose
but if you want to set the images from using this option then you have to copy image by using right click on that image 
and paste it in the document area.

Drop Cap

Drop Cap is a tool by which we can make our text's first character to be uppercase.

Drop means how many lines you want to skip for...as in the given box "A" has dropped 3 lines.
How to apply?
Steps:
  • Firstly wright what you want to
  • then go to insert menu there you see a option of Drop Cap
  • Click on Drop cap you see DROP CAP Option where you can easily select Dropped or In Margin
  • If you selected the Dropped one you have to set the font face for text,how many lines you wanted to drop/skip and distance from the text.then ok

with the use of table, word art from insert menu, and page color and page border from page layout menu.

steps to create a calendar:
open ms-word 2007
choose insert menu from the menu bar
select table and then Quick Tables from that pop up, select any built in calendars 
change the month name from home menu by using formatting toolbar , you can also change the font color and highlight your text as well.

How to make colorful table???
  
when you select the table you see a additional tool name "table tool " on title bar 
select that and you see several new options you can select table styles of your choice .... and also you can choose different colors for every cells in your table by shading option in table tool only.

How to give attractive heading?

you have two options
first : simply type your heading then increase the font size, change style and you can apply every character to a different color by font color

second  and easy : go to insert menu select "word art" option select any look you want, then type you want as a heading in your document you can simply change the font style , and size from edit wordart dialog box.

how to give attractive border?
go to page layout menu, select page border
then you see a border and shading dialog box containing three menu (Borders, Page Borders and Shading)
select Page border then in the last you see a blank box containing name "ART" click on the small triangle to see options select any and apply ok
