e.g.
suppose you have to tell the number of subjects you are studying in a semester
you can type your content like

 after typing above subjects you can select your content then go to home menu there you see a in a paragraph option there are some dots and numbering these are the bullets you wanted to apply .
it has a range or you can edit any bullet .

after applying bullets your content will be:

  • mathematics
  • political science
  • english
  • hindi

Alignment

Alignment is a tool by which you can adjust your text in a document to the left side, right side or to the center.

Short Keys:
ctrl + L for left text alignment
ctrl + R for right text alignment
ctrl + E for center alignment of the text


you can apply this after selecting your text with the help of mouse(left mouse button) or keyboard(shift + arrow keys).

water mark is a tool comes in "page layout menu" you can apply this into your document and its impact does not intersect your typed words in your document
As you saw notes provided by any institute, they mention their institute name on the page you can do this by applying water mark

steps:
Go to page layout menu
select Watermark option
then select custom watermark 
You will see three options with radio button containing
  • No watermark
  • Picture watermark
  • Text watermark 
in the default settings no watermark has been selected
select rest of the two options.

when you select picture watermark you will get the path to select any picture you saved in your computer.

if you select Text watermark then you can change the color of text, and choose option of showing text watermark like
diagonal or horizontal.
chose according to your need.

if you want to remove watermark 
  • select page layout
  • then watermark 
  • select remove watermark
  • then ok

sometimes my students ask me about this "?"
This icon is shown on the upper side under command buttons (minimize,maximize and close)

This icon provides you to get "HELP" from the Ms-office package you are using.

When you click on this tool/button you will see a Word Help Dialog Box containing a search bar and some related contents you might need to know how to use.

HOW TO ENCRYPT( LOCK/HIDE) YOUR DOCUMENT/FILE IN WORD?

IF YOU WISH TO HIDE OR WANTED TO LOCK TO YOUR IMPORTANT FILE/DOCUMENT  YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW SIMPLE STEPS:


1) OPEN MS-OFFICE
2) SELECT YOUR FILE ON WHICH YOU WISH TO PROTECT USING PASSWORD
3) GO TO FILE/OFFICE BUTTON
4) SELECT PREPARE OPTION FROM THE FOLLOWING
THEN YOU WILL SEE 7 OPTIONS( PROPERTIES, INSPECT DOCUMENT,ENCRYPT DOCUMENT,RESTRICT PERMISSION, etc)

5) Select the Encrypt Document Option from the following options
when you select you will see a dialog box ENCRYPT DOCUMENT
then in the given box you have to type your password and retype with the same and apply ok and save changes 

whenever you will open it the next time you have to type correct password to open.

if you wish to remove password
then follow the above steps and do little changes of deleting your password you entered then save changes.


Note: Remember that Password is case-sensitive.
