Caring of your Computer
Your computer will work much better and last much longer if yu look after it well.
Here are some simple do's and don'ts for you to follow:
DO
- Keep the computer room clean and cool.
- Keep your computer clean and free of dust. Dust it with a clean, soft, and dry cloth regularly.
- Protect your computer from smoke, high temperature,and humidity, food and drink spills.
- use original softwares.
- Shut don the computer properly after you finish your work.
- Install a good anti-virus program.This will protect your computer from harmful programs called viruses.
Don't
- Don't enter the computer room with shoes on.
- Don't let your computer share an electric socket with another large machine such as a fridge,television etc.
- Don't pull at wires or knock hard against any part of the computer.
- Do't use pirated software.
- Don't run your computer on and off to o many times through the day.
- Don't download games or songs from the Internet too often. You might end p downloading a virus program and cause a virus attack on your computer.
Note:If your computer starts to give trouble, don't neglect the problem -even if it seems like only a small one. Call an expert. Don't try to fix things yourself.
Caring for your Monitor
- Protect your monitor from direct sunlight, humidity, and high temperature.
- keep it free of dust. Clean it with a soft , dry cloth.
Caring for your Keyboard
- Protect your keyboard from dust and grime. keep it covered when you are not using ikt.
- Make sure your hands are clean before you work on it.
- Clean it regularly with a soft and dry cloth.
- don't hit the keys hard; press them gently.
- Don't bring food or drink near he keyboard. It thse spill on to your keyboard, it might be harmed.
Caring of your Mouse
- Use a mouse pad . The pad will protect ht mouse. The mouse will also work much better on it.
- Don't touch the mouse with dirty sticky fingers.
- Clean the mouse with a soft, dry cloth.
- Click on the mouse buttons gently. If the buttons give trouble, you will need to bu a new mouse.
Caring of your CDs and DVDs
- Don't touch their shiny side. The computer reads the data on these discs from this side. if this side gets scratched , there will be problems in reading the data.
- If they get dirty, wipe them carefully with a soft cloth.
- Don't store them in dusty, hot or humid places.
- Keep them away from direct sunlight.
- Don't write on them with a ball point pen . Use special CD pens made for this purpose.
- Don't paste any stickers on the surface of a CD or a DVD.
- If a CD or a DVD gets stuck in the player , take the help of an adult. Don't try to pull it out yourself.
